Riley is doing great... Potty trianing went quite well.  He sits on command, and has walked with me on the trails in ... since the first week  I got him.

J.&B. B., S. Glens Falls, NY

Thought you might enjoy an update and some pictures of Jesse and Daizy- both are Duckie puppies, about 1 year apart.  Jesse is just the most beautiful, well behaved dog.  He got his CGC last year.  Daizy just finished her second round of obedience classes and is doing very well.  She's quite the character and absolutely adores her big brother.  We took them to the ocean for the first time this summer.  They of course loved it.  We can't keep Jesse out of the water, he just loves to swim.  Both are excellent retrievers as well.  They have been such a joy to us.  I can't even begin to tell you how many compliments we get on how beautiful and well behaved they are.  A. & J. B. Clifton Park, NY

Attached is a new picture of Baron (a Sarah puppy - 9/22/00).  He is doing great...  He is the best dog I have ever had.  Very well behaved  - I take him with me to work a couple days a week (I work at a private girls school).  He loves seeing the girls each day.  Whenever I take him to the park, I rarely even put a leash on him.  He listens very well.  My daughter and I took him with us on vacation last month.  We drove to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina (20 hours in the car).  It was his first road trip.  He was great.  He was happy just to be with us.  Didn't mind being in the car for that long.  It rained for a good portion of the drive, so we couldn't let him out to eat and get a drink of water.  He drank water out of a cup and had drive through food.  I was surprised that he adapted so well.  He also went in the ocean for the first time.  He loved it - learned to "ride" the waves.  He was funny - he would get worried about my daughter if she was in the ocean by herself - had to keep swimming out and check on her.  K.D., Clifton Park, NY

I am sending some pictures of Raleigh (Poppy's littermate) enjoying his vacation in Maine.  He is still our pride and joy.  We cannot walk a single block anywhere--from New York to Bar Harbor--without being stopped by passers-by who are struck by what a magnificent creature he is.  He literally stops traffic.  While it is extremely gratifying to have such a remarkably handsome Golden, we still most enjoy his loving, playful and obedient disposition and amazing intelligence.  He has so much personality and communicates so well that it is sometime hard to remember that he is not human. L.B., Brooklyn, NY

"Just wanted to give you an update on Cody.  He is already getting big, and doing really well settling into his new home.  He graduated from puppy kindergarten and is about to start the next class.  Cody has the most wonderful personality, so sweet and gentle with the kids.  He is so smart too, just so eager to learn new things.  He is losing his teeth now with new ones coming in so he chews n everything.  He has lots of toys and bones to chew on which helps.  His absolute favorite thing is pigs ears.  {the vet} says he is doing great.  Whenever I take him there, everyone asks if Cody is a {Nicker Barker Farm} puppy, they say all your puppies are gorgeous.  He gets a lot of attention there and loves to go and see other dogs.  He is extremely social, loving everyone he meets.  We are just so attached to him already.  Cody has filled our house with such joy and laughter, we just love him.  Thanks again for everything."  S.&B. D., Glenville, NY

"Jaxson is doing great (Dec. 1999 litter of Ducky and Sky). We still get many compliments about him wherever we go.  The groomer that we recently took Jaxson to even recognized him as coming from your farm.  They said that the faces from your dogs are very beautiful.  We are so happy with our dog.  He has become the king of the house.  He is spoiled rotten but he is so well mannered and even tempered.  We just love him!!!!  I think I told you before that we met up with "Walter" (Ducky's litter in 2000) one day while on our AM walk.  He is also very beautiful."  V.&S. B., Schenectady, NY

"Mallary went to {Nursing Home} today and did great!  She did not go up to people on her own but was not particularly fearful either.  I think she was not quite sure about the wheelchairs.  But once people reached out and I coaxed her over she would stand quite still and let herself be petted.  The people there loved her.  {My friend} thought she was very sweet and reminds him of his first golden Samantha Jo who was the "perfect Golden" in every way.... There is a cat on the floor.  Well, the cat was sitting on the nurse's desk.  Mallary went over quite calmly to meet her and the cat hissed and took a swipe at her (missed!).  Mallary just calmly backed up and looked at the cat....  We are looking forward to more visits."  M.V., Charlton, NY

"I am writing to let you know what a joy Raleigh is to us.  He is remarkably intelligent, angelic in behavior and temperament, and as handsome as they get.  Everyone loves him, and he cuts quite a figure in the neighborhood and the park.  I don't have the time to provide all the illustrations of his extraordinary intelligence, but I feel compelled to give you just one example.  He really loves ice, and wanted to get at a clump on a tree branch that was way above his head.  Instead of attempting fruitless jumps, Raleigh studied the situation for a moment, then lifted himself to his hind legs and gripped a different, accessible branch that was connected to the one he wanted, pulled that branch down, and on the next downswing, grabbed his ice and trotted away.  He is incredibly well-behaved-- entirely nonrambunctious -- in the house, which nowhere bears his tooth-marks.  He was easy as pie to housebreak, and enjoyed his crate immediately.  He now has free run of the house, and has never abused that privilege." L.B., Brooklyn, NY

"Thanks for your Christmas card. We always look forward to getting the puppy pictures each year.
Cosmo is now 5 years old and doing well. He is wonderful with our 2 girls and they absolutely love him! He is a very big part of our family. I would recommend your Golden Retrievers to any family with small children.
We have attached a recent family picture taken which includes Cosmo. Hope you enjoy it.", P.&L. C. Ballston Spa, NY

"We are very pleased owners of Carli, the two year old daughter of Duckie.  Carli holds true to your best web site praise of Duckie.  She is beautiful, sweet and gentle."  K.&T. C., Schenectady, NY

"Buddy is doing well here in St. Louis, Mo.  Many people ... ask us where we got him.  He is so beautiful, and continues to be a wonderful companion for our family."  J.&C. D. Wildwood, Mo.

"As you can see, Lily is growing into a beautiful dog.  She has been an absolutely wonderful puppy - very loving and sweet.  She has been easy to train and loves everyone and every animal.  At first... Sophie (8 year old chocolate lab) wasn't too happy about her arrival.  Sophie wasn't mean to her, she just ignored her.  Little by little, she has accepted her and now at least several times a day they play - running around the house stealing each others toys - playing tug of war, and even sleeping on the couch together.  We all adore Lily and thank you so much for her."  D.T., Saratoga Springs, NY

"We spent the month of October in North Myrtle Beach, SC.  The pictures are from the first time we took her to the beach, she just loved it, running thru the waves, chasing the gulls, and having a great time...", M.&E. G., Schenectady, NY

"We just wanted to say hi and tell you we are SO in love with Parker (Duckie puppy)!! He is such a dream and has made our family much more fun!  We've been through puppy school and he did so well...still a few things to work on, but he's just awesome!  He loves the water and running on the beach at our summer house.  In fact, everybody just loves him up in Maine.  He's 5 months old now and a little over 50 lbs...you should see his paws!!!! Watch out! Thank you so much for such a wonderful little boy..." B.&S. D. Simsbury Ct.

"Just wanted to let you know things are going really good.  It took my older golden Kelly about 1 1/2 weeks to accept Phoebe but now they are really friends.  Kelly who is 9 plays so much more now and is acting so much younger.  Phoebe is a pleasure  and a joy and we love her so much.  The house breaking is going good, but those puppy teeth, wow. :) :)  I'm so glad to have her in my life."  L.L. Williston Park, NY

"You can see that we had 3 very happy children this Christmas!  Skeeter has been a delight and has become a favorite in the neighborhood.  Our family is complete!"  E.&P. G. Kingston, NY

"Nala's health has been excellent (not even a cold!)... Nala has been a very busy dog.  She passed her Therapy Dog International test last summer, and we started therapy visits in October.  Currently we are visiting the BOCES (special ed. room) at Scotia Glenville High School.  There are 11 students in all, with eight of them in wheelchairs.  Nala has made a big hit with the students, although I'm not sure who's having more fun -- them or Nala.  It's as though Nala was born to do therapy work... We just wanted to let you know what a treasured addition Nala is to our family.  Wherever we take her, people are impressed with her gentleness and exuberance for life.  She has certainly made our lives fuller."  J.&M. B. Schenectady, NY

"Ellie has a great personality and is very healthy!  She is a wonderful dog..." B.&C. Z. Ballston Spa, NY

"We thought you would enjoy seeing Liza.  She has such a personality!  Tennis balls, toys, mud, & people are her favorite things.  She's a wonderful mix of energy, love & humor (she provides it!)  We'd love to come visit sometime over the winter and see your latest pups..." C.&L. G. Niskayuna, NY

"Thought you might like an update on Britney...She's definitely been the highlight of our summer... She adores the kids, and of course we all adore her.  She's such a great dog...she just goes along with the flow.  She loves camp, loves to run, loves to sit with her nose in the air and let the breeze off the water flow by her.  She's determined to help out with whatever gardening or outdoor project we may be working on.  She's unbelievably good in the car.  It's such a pleasure to take a ride with her.  I could go on and on... I know how much you care for  your dogs, and thought you might like to know how pleased we are to have her.  I can see now why so many people have two dogs."  T.&L. R. Burnt Hills, NY

"We have had an excellent week with the puppy, who is now named 'Baron'.  He sleeps quietly thru the night and has done so since the second night.  He is able to wait until 6am to go outside.  He has learned how to sit, and is getting along with the cats fairly well.  He loves to run while carrying a leaf or stick in his mouth.  Everyone who sees Baron loves him.  He has grown a lot, since when we picked him up."  K.&S. D. Schenectady, NY

"We finally named our pup.  She is Kerry to us and I will register her...  She has been great.  Seems to like the crate and almost has the potty thing down.  She loves to run and plan and I am not sure who is wearing who out.  She went on her first big outing last week.  She was in Binghamton for the Empire State Games.  She stayed in her first hotel and saw the first of many hockey games.  She is very well behaved.  Kerry loves to ride in the car.  Good thing since we seem to be in it so much."  K.K. Pattersonville, NY

"Bellini is doing great -- she graduated from obedience class, although her at home performance would never let you believe that! (ha ha)  She is a sweetheart.  In addition to her soccer prowess, she is also an awesome tennis player -- I have found that my arm tires much more quickly when I throw the ball as opposed to hitting it with the racquet for hours on end.  She loves fetch.  When I mow the lawn, she follows me around dropping the ball at my side to throw it at any possible stop.  She has also turned into quite the snuggler.  We are so happy with her and enjoy having her in our family so much."  K.&S. O. Scotia, NY

"Jazzy is very active and plays with her toys all the time -- She is great company and we are doing fine...  She is big and beautiful and strong."  L.T. Scotia, NY

"We can't even begin to tell you how loving & cuddly a little girl our Lucy has become.  She was a wonderful puppy, never once chewing up anything!  She is somewhat shy, submissive, mellow and very sweet.  She is quite smart, understanding differences in her toys when asked to get them.  We had taken her to puppy obedience classes at 3 months old, and we think it helped with not only her learning & listening skills, but with her interaction with other dogs.  She loves to swim and especially enjoys the snow!  We had a one year birthday party with her and got together with a few of her "Golden" playmates.  We occasionally see Crystal, another female from the same litter.  They look identical... her features are truly outstanding!  She is a very loved part of our family and appears to be very happy, well exercised and constantly stimulated.  We do just about everything with her, in fact, we are going to Vermont for 3 days over New Years - and we found a quaint B&B that will allow her to be with us.  She'll have a blast going snow-shoeing in the country...  We are very grateful for her and to you for delivering such a wonderful pup to us."  B.&C. P. Saratoga Springs, NY

"Toby has been a joy -- and I can't imagine a better tempered personality!" S.&G. T. Saratoga County, NY

"She is so smart and has a ton of energy.  The crate training has been great during the day.  I am sure she waits anxiously for the kids to come home...  I am looking forward to the spring and outdoor soccer.  Kerry is great while she is around people.  The winter ... we are usually in the arena and sometimes I can sneak her in..." K.K. Pattersonville, NY

"Well, Sallie has just celebrated her first birthday and we thought this would be a great time to show you her progress over a years time.  As you can see she has received some great traits from both of her parents, Nickie and Kody.  She is strong, yet very gentle and loving with a great personality.  Numerous people have commented on her beauty and one gentleman actually offered to buy her from us.  Happily we refer them to you along with our pleasure in dealing with you both.  Thank you again." M.&R. V. Greenfield Center, NY

"Thought you might enjoy a couple of pictures of Britney.  She had a great trip to Florida.  Loved the water and was soo good in the car.  I would gladly prefer to drive to Florida again with Britney in the car...  She has grown so fond of camp already.  Last year, as a puppy, she was tentative with the water.  This year she can't wait to go in.  Britney has become a loving part of our family.  As she matures, she seems to naturally want to be by our side.  She's becoming so good about staying in the yard, she wants to be where the people are -  or so it seems.  We just love having her."  L. & T. R. Burnt Hills, NY

"This note is to let you know how your puppy, our Sallie, is doing and send along some photos of her.  She brings a smile to all that see her.  Thank you for all the work you put in to bring her to us."  M. V. Greenfield Center, NY   "I love Sallie very much.  Sallie is cuter than ever." Son T. V.   "We love Sallie a lot.  I hope you enjoy the picture." Son W. V.   "Sallie is just adorable.  She has grown so much in such a shor period of time.  We all enjoy her so much."  T. G. next door neighbors
