We are currently a licensed Pennsylvania State kennel (06305K2) and were previously a New York State Licensed Pet Dealer (PD 000282).   Both the NY and PA programs are relatively new, but assures pet breeders/dealers meet requirements associated with proper care for their animals and that they provide accurate representations of the health and backgrounds for the animals they sell.  This assurance is based on annual/bi-annual on-site examinations of the facilities, processes, and records of the breeder/dealer.  The governing law also provides certain assurances to the purchaser of a puppy or kitten. You may want to question the credentials of a breeder who does not choose to register and be licensed with the state.
